Safe Lifting

Unsafe lifting practices can lead to injury. These practices may consist of lifting loads that are too heavy to be lifted by a single person; awkward postures; lifting for excessive periods of time; and having inadequate handholds. When employees are provided with mechanical aids (such as forklifts and duct lifts), and use smart lifting practices, they are less likely to suffer from back sprains, muscle pulls, wrist injuries, elbow injuries, spinal injuries, and other injuries caused by lifting heavy objects.
