Helping Disabled Employees Evacuate
If an employee has identified
himself or herself as an individual with a disability and requested assistance
in advance, then prior to and during an emergency, ensure that a designated
manager is responsible for working with the employee to understand exactly what
kind of assistance is required and ensure that such assistance is deployed
during an emergency.
To help disabled employees evacuate, employers should:
